Happy New Year! I hope that your holidays were happy and that 2019 is off to a fine start.
Do you have a resolution? Here are a couple that I’m thinking about:
- Drink more water (I’m terrible at this and have been inspired by one of our college kids, who walks around the house with an absurdly large Mason jar of ice water).
- Keep the bird feeders full. We get cardinals, chickadees, and tufted titmice galore when I am not too lazy to fill those things.
- Write it all down. I found that I finished the year wondering exactly what I have been doing with myself for the past few months, so I’m resolving to keep a journal or at least some record of where the days go. And before Christmas, I received a hand-written note on old-school college-rule paper from a friend! I appreciated it so much that I really want to write more letters this year.
This isn’t life-changing stuff. But they are some tweaks that will improve my own path, I think.
I hope that there are at least a few fond memories you can keep as you let 2018 go, and that 2019 has plenty of goodness in store for you.
