We have two children home from school, and only one of them is meat-averse.

The other needed to do some errands today and agreed to go along with his mom to get lunch along the way. We went to Homestead Creamery (their website is looking awesome, by the way — you should take a look!), which I’ve written about before, and which is a place where you can get a pimento cheese sandwich that will knock your socks off. It is a good place to eat if you are not avoiding dairy. In fact, if you wore an ugly holiday sweater today, they would give you a free scoop of ice cream and I sure wish I’d know about that promotion before heading over there.

The boy got a panini that included both ham and bacon, so he was pretty pleased. Our plant-based progeny, well, she stayed home this trip.
