It’s a travel day today; Jim and I are headed to Lexington, Kentucky, to visit our freshman Wildcat.
The trip compromises a journey west along Rt. 460, where my self-appointed job is to call out the speed traps to Ole Lead Foot, because the police in Giles County don’t play.
Then we head north through West Virginia and gawk at some crazy mountain vistas.
Then west again into the rolling land of pretty horses, tasty bourbon, and our college kid (at which point it’ll be my turn to drive, thus curtailing my travel photos).
Now, I know that this is not a travel blog, but will also note that it’s pretty cool we can do this trip in just under 6 hours.
