The other day, I told you about CJ’s Coffee up the road, which helps to bridge the distance to national chain coffee shops with which we are familiar.
But there is another coffee choice out here in the country. Just around the corner from CJ’s, you can find the Sugar and Slice Cupcakery, which also offers a nice array of breakfast and lunch dishes and, of course, coffee.
I stopped in yesterday afternoon to ask if I could take some pictures for the blog, and the bakery team asked me to make sure that I mentioned their upcoming events, which include a paint night tomorrow night featuring local artist Lisa Floyd, and a first responder’s appreciation event in the near future.
During the time I was in there, I saw first-hand the irresistible call of the cupcakes (they offer a great variety of flavors, in two sizes each) and scones, as a woman who came to pick up a sandwich for her husband left with a sizable box of delicacies as well.
I can personally vouch for the wedding cake and peanut butter cup flavors.
