Hurricane Florence continues her march into the East Coast. And even though recent predictions have her dipping down into the Carolinas with a later loop around to the west, Appalachian Power is not messing around.
The power company owns Smith Mountain Lake, and maintains its water level via the dam that forms the lake. With forecasts of big rain on the way, it’s has not been hard to notice that the level of the water has been easing down.
