Today was a more promising day. Our checks arrived and our boat, she’s a-getting licensed tomorrow. And I figured some things out in HTML land. Best of all, the peaches I got at the farm stand were ripe and ready to eat.
If you drive south on the Booker T. Washington Highway, just past Burnt Chimney, you will come across Beckner’s Produce, a big, colorful farm stand with all kinds of fruits, vegetables, and baked goods, plus friendly folks to help you out.
Ever since we got the idea to make the move out here, that 1995 Presidents of the United States of America song has periodically run through my head (“Movin’ to the country/Gonna eat a lot of peaches…”) (I refuse to believe it is an ode to genitalia, so don’t even start).
Living the dream today, friends.
