After working to get that boat license, alas, today I learned that one needs to pay for a boat’s registration with a check or money order.

We wrote the last check in our set this morning, and the remainder of the box of checks seems to have vanished in our move (and we need updated checks with our new address anyway).

Even after the check is written, the DMV says that the registration will be good to go in a couple of weeks. There will be no boating anytime soon.

So with the time I saved in driving to the DMV, I decided to return to my perusal of HTML and CSS. As I mentioned yesterday, with the kids busily learning at their respective places of study, it’s time for me to get myself back on track with learning how to program, something I’ve been wanting to do for the past two years.

I rapidly found myself over my head. I spent four hours working on it today, only to realize that the learning platform I’d signed up for is well beyond my skill level. Humbly starting fresh tomorrow.
