It’s been a little more than a year since I started this excursion, and well, some things have changed.

Learning to code? It got derailed. Instead, my focus turned to two growing-up kids with stressful lives, studying abroad, finishing high school, and everything that leads up to an emptying nest.

And once they were sorted out, my husband shook things up with an even bigger change for us: a great job offer in a new city.

As I write, he’s been working in the new spot and commuting home on weekends since February. I have been wrapping up my job, selling our house, buying a new one, and getting my head around leaving the Northern Virginia area which has been home for most of my 50 years.

And I still want to learn to code.

So this blog, and my text editor, and all those Code School tutorials, are now coming with me to beautiful Southwest Virginia, and so are you.
